Cancer Burden in Pakistan

Government of Pakistan is providing help to these patients who cannot afford the high cost of treatment through Zakat and Baitul Mal. However this assistance is insufficient and cannot cope with the patient’s load.

IPWS Vision

IPWS will contribute to its vision by exclusively focusing on providing excellence driven, comprehensive, free of cost, health care facilities to needy cancer patients of INOR

WHY IPWS

Most of the patients are poor and present in late stages
Currently every facility is supported form regular budget of INOR
Zakat Fund/Baitul Mall cater small number of cases

Aims of IPWS

INOR aims to provide Latest diagnostic and therapeutic facilities with nuclear techniques for Various benign and malignant diseases

WHO Estimate

According to WHO estimates, as many as 1,36,000 new cases of cancer are diagnosed and more than 85,000 deaths are reported annually, in Pakistan.

Welcome to Inor Patients Welfare Society

Keeping in view the financial position of the poor cancer patients, coming from the whole NWFP including rural areas, Northern areas, Azad Jammu Kasmir and adjacent part of Punjab to Institute of Radiotherapy & Nuclear Medicine (INOR) Abbottabad, they really need help in diagnosis and treatment. This deeply graved situation and poverty of people, a consensus opinion thus arose amongst like minded. persons to the effect that a welfare society for the benefit of the cancer patients, attending this institute, be brought into being and thus "INOR PATIENTS WELFARE SOCIETY", the society for welfare of cancer patients at Institute of Radiotherapy & Nuclear Medicine (INOR) Abbottabad was created on so that we will serve the sufferer, help the poor, share with less privileged and keep credit with the creator (The Almighty).
